Installation Detailed Description: |
The Innofader PNP, mini Innofader PNP P, and Innofader Pro/Pro2 all work on this mixer. The mini Innofader PNP will by far be the easiest to install because you can simply install it from the top. The full bodied Innofader PNP and Pros require you to open the mixer and bend a plastic protector sheet out of the way to fit the Innofader. Unless you need the extra compatibility of the Innofader Pro and you are comfortable opening up and modding your mixer, you really should get the Innofader PNP or mini Innofader PNP P.
Mechanically this is one of the most difficult Innofader installations. Not to scare you, but many customers have damaged their Pioneer DJM mixer due to improper handling. If you have ANY doubts, please get the job done by a qualified service technician such as Virtual Sound Technology. Doing so will save you lots of money and headaches.
Here are the original DJM-800 Installation Instructions. Note these instructions are with the original Innofader and DJM-800 adapter. For the Innofader Pro, the crossfader connector hooks up to J17 on the Innofader adapter board.
